8 And from [a]Betah and (A)Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, King David took a very large amount of bronze.
9 Now when Toi king of (B)Hamath heard that David had [b]defeated the whole army of Hadadezer, 10 Toi sent his son [c]Joram to King David to [d]greet him and bless him, because he had fought Hadadezer and [e]defeated him; for Hadadezer [f]had been at war with Toi. And [g]Joram brought with him articles of silver, gold, and bronze.
